If you want a delicious Asian Fusion experience that will outdo all other Asian Fusion experiences, look no farther than Mitsu Neko. Located just off of West Highway 76 in a small strip mall, this gem of a restaurant is a treasure waiting to be found. Opened in January of 2013, and owned and operated by Russian couple Kate and Roman, Mitsu Neko has some of the best sushi in town. A restaurant atmosphere steeped in dark purple, good music and mood lighting makes your sushi taste even better! Some of the most popular sushi rolls at Mitsu Neko are the Blizzard (featuring mango and white tuna) and the Spicy Land. Another tasty and unique sushi option offered here is the Strawberry Delight – a delicious combination of salmon, strawberry and avocado rolled in seaweed and rice and topped with a creamy strawberry sauce. If you like a little heat, be sure to try a dab of ginger wasabi with your sushi. And if sushi isn’t your style, Mitsu Neko also offers a variety of steak, chicken and duck dishes, along with appetizers such as fried eggplant, smothered with mild white cheese. “Our duck is really good!” says owner Kate. Sugar Leaf Bakery and Café
Sugar Leaf Bakery and Café is a local family owned and operated restaurant full of homemade goodness. Founded in 2004, Sugar Leaf was opened by owners Todd and Lori Janson and is located today off of West 76 Country Boulevard. Sugar Leaf boasts a menu of made to order salads, classic soups, and signature Panini sandwiches such as Café Chicken Salad, Pastrami on Rye and Tuscan Veggie. Perhaps the most popular part of Sugar Leaf, though, is the desserts! Made fresh cookies, pies (Lemon Meringue, anyone?), and cobblers are sure to satisfy the strongest of sweet tooths.
