Since Branson is known as the “Live Music Capital,” it just makes sense that some of the biggest names in music show up in town.

2013 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Oak Ridge Boys’ existence. In those 40 years, these four accomplished men have worked together to earn Grammy, CMA, ACM, and a number of other awards. This year is the Oak Ridge Boys’ 40th Anniversary Tour, and part of that tour is in Branson, Mo. The Oak Ridge Boys will perform all of their classic songs, including “Elvira,” the song that topped the pop music charts in 1981. Adult tickets for the show are $43.50. They will perform at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater on select dates in October and November 2013 at 8 p.m.

In addition to the classic sound of the Oak Ridge Boys, the theater hosts names that aren’t even part of the music business. Famed comedian Bill Cosby appears in Branson at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater. His credentials as an actor, comedian, producer, and author have earned him numerous accolades across those roles. Known for his role in the critically acclaimed The Cosby Show, Cosby continually broke barriers in entertainment. Now he is in Branson, Mo. to entertain people at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater. Adult tickets for Bill Cosby’s show are $77.00. Cosby will only be at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater for one night in 2013, so act fast if you want to see this legend on-stage.

Another act that graces the stage at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater is Johnny Mathis. Mathis started studying music at a young age when his father bought an upright piano for $25. Since then, he has been a recording powerhouse, performing before notable audiences such as Former President Bill Clinton, former First Lady Hillary Clinton, and other First Ladies of the White House. Mathis marked his 50th year as a recording artist in 2006, and subsequently produced “Johnny Mathis – Gold: A 50th Anniversary Celebration.” He now performs shows in Branson, and will be returning Nov. 15 – 16, 2013. Adult tickets for this show are $77.00.

A final performer who will be at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater this year is Jim Belushi. As a stand-up comic, actor, producer, and director, Belushi has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years. Some of his best known acts are as an alumnus of Saturday Night Live and as the lead character in the sitcom According to Jim, which aired on ABC for eight seasons. Belushi will be appearing at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater with the Chicago Board of Comedy, which features Robert Belushi, Larry Joe Campbell, Jon Barinholtz, and Brad Morris. They will be at the Oak Ridge Boys Theater on Oct. 25 at 8 p.m.
