The Million Dollar Quartet is a smash hit Broadway musical that secured the famed Tony Award, and then made its way to Branson in the heart of the Ozarks. After a stellar first year in the Midwest, the demand to bring the show back was so overwhelming that the Welk Resort Theater is running the show again, through December of 2016 in their 2,300 seat theater. This musical features some of the most famous songs of our time, and is based upon the most legendary recording session in all of music history.

On December 4, 1956, in a recording studio in Memphis called Sun Records, a producer by the name of Sam Phillips would become famous as ‘The Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll,’ when he brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for an impromptu recording session that took the music world by storm. For one unforgettable night, these four up and coming artists made some of the most memorable music of their careers. It was the only time that these four soon to be famous artists would ever play all together in their lives – but that one time was all they needed.

The Million Dollar Quartet Musical at the Welk Resort Theater features some of the greatest songs that Elvis, Johnny, Jerry and Carl ever recorded, including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Ghost Riders,” and “Whole Lotta’ Shakin’ Goin’ On.” Music lovers of all ages will be amazed by this great Branson show that features some incredible talent, both in the key and supporting roles of the musical.
