Table Rock Lake extends 80 miles upstream along the White River and inundates areas in Missouri and Arkansas. The Ozark Mountains surrounding the lake make it ideal for spotting wildlife including eagles, deer, fox, wild turkey, cranes, and other water birds. The following six standard safe boating rules are adhered to and monitored by the water patrol.

  • Keep the boatload at a minimum.
  • Have a floatation device on board for each passenger.
  • Avoid standing in a boat.
  • Watch for obstructions when approaching the shore.
  • Slow down when approaching small boats, docks or skiers.
  • Head for shore if bad weather threatens.

Table Rock lake offers several camping areas that wrap around the shoreline allowing easy access to the lake. Sprinkled near the lakeshore are numerous picnic sites. The shady campgrounds include basic, electric only and sewer/water/electric campsites, modern restrooms, showers and coin-operated laundry rooms. Although there is not a designated beach, visitors can swim in several areas of the park. The clear waters of the lake have made it a playground for visitors nationwide.

While the lake posses plenty of bass, crappie, Kentucky spotted, smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, white bass, catfish, and bluegill, Table Rock is acclaimed as one of the best bass fishing lakes in this hemisphere. Recycled Christmas trees and other natural habitat structures have been placed in various areas in Table Rock Lake. There are trails galore to hike on at Table Rock Lake. Take plenty of water and some food. Your whole group will enjoy hiking these gorgeous trails. One of my favorite trails is from Table Rock State park to the Dewey Short Visitor Center. This two mile eight foot wide paved trail is available for both hiking and biking, has restrooms available at various points, and meets the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. People hiking/biking the trail in the spring will view dogwood, serviceberry in various stages of bloom, redbud trees and lots of wildflowers. During the fall season, visitors are treated to nature’s colorful fall foliage. The trail is open from dawn to dusk to foot traffic, bicycles, skateboards and scooters. The only motorized vehicles permitted on the trail are motorized wheelchairs. Visitors and residents alike can experience the natural beauty and grandeur of the Ozarks outdoors during any area Branson youth activities.
