The Branson golf course at Thousand Hills has consistently been named one of the most popular golf courses in Branson for nearly twenty years. This “Best of the Ozarks” and Golf Digest 4 star winning course saw the addition of a new PGA Professional in 2011, as well as brand new GPS equipped golf cars in order to offer Branson golfers the best in service, knowledge, and equipment.
PGA Professional Matt Dillman joined the Thousand Hills team in March of 2011. He brings great enthusiasm about the game of golf and to the business of golf management. From daily golf operations, to organizing group outings and assuring great customer service Matt will become a familiar face for most Branson Golfers. Tourists and celebrities alike come to plat at Thousand Hills regularly for its quality playing area and friendly & knowledgeable staff. Matt graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelors Degree in Turf Management in 2001 and was a member of the ATU varsity golf team for four years. In February, 2009 Matt became a Class A member of the PGA. Since starting his career, Matt has worked in some of the top ranked clubs in Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri and has been recognized for his work with the largest Junior Golf Program in Overland Park, Kansas which hosted over 144 juniors. Thousand Hills welcomes Matt and his dedication and enthusiasm for the sport of golf in Branson.
As part of that dedication to golf, Thousand Hills also deployed a brand new fleet of 2011 Drive Golf Cars built by Yamaha. The cars arrived in early April shortly after Matt’s arrival and have been getting rave reviews from golfers ever since. The Anthracite Metallic cars have made a striking addition to the landscape of this Branson golf course.
According to Matt, there are several reasons “The Drive” golf cars were chosen. “We were interested in not only looks, but style, comfort, accessibility and performance. Because Thousand Hills has many hills, we had to have a car that could climb hills and run for 36 holes out on the course.” He continues, “We chose the gas model 357F that produces 11.7 horsepower and is still the most efficient on the market. This creates a smooth, quiet, vibration free ride that our golfers deserve.”
Other notable features of these golf cars are the seats that have been noted as the biggest & most comfortable seats on the market, numerous safety features to protect guests, and ample and convenient storage for all golfing accessories. In addition, the golf cars have been installed with a GPS system to help golfers of every skill level navigate the course. The GPS system is designed to show the yardage to the middle of the greens, yardage to the front & backs of the greens, and the location & distance of any bunkers, ponds or other hazards.
