Bull Shoals offers great competition for seasoned bass and walleye anglers.

Bull Shoals Lake Dam was completed in July 1951 creating a lake with a surface acreage of 45,440. The dam is the fifth largest dam in the United States. Bull Shoals Lake is has a shoreline mileage of 1050 and is located in Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas. The dam and the lake are controlled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and additional information can be found on their web site.

Bull Shoals Lake offers a variety of freshwater fish including Large Mouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Channel Cat, Walleye, White Bass, Stripe Bass, Crappie, Goggle Eyes and other pan fish. The layout of Bull Shoals ranges from 1-20 feet deep with depths in the 70ft range in the river canal. Bull Shoals Lake offers various types of lay downs and underwater structure perfect for housing record bass. Popular bass baits include worm's rigged Texas style and spinner baits. Trumann minnows are definite crappie killers and suspending rouges work well for walleye.

Bull Shoals also offers other activities including hiking, hunting, sightseeing, boating, swimming and water skiing. With marinas located throughout the length of the lake, you can have lunch, fill the gas tank up, or find out the popular baits for the day. Bull Shoals is the warm water lake that the family is sure to enjoy.
