Affordable Youth Trips to Family Friendly Branson

Unlike vacation destinations that feature city nightlife, in Branson you can feel safe venturing out at night for Branson youth activities. Branson is a friendly, clean wholesome town that caters to the welfare of its visitors and is ideal for all types of youth group trips.

Whether you decide on a basic hotel, fully furnished condominiums, lake view condominiums or secluded cabins for your Branson groups lodging options abound in Branson Missouri and are tremendously affordable.

One of the hot spots for Branson youth activities is the Branson RecPlex where you can rent meeting rooms, gym space, pool rentals, and pavilions for your group’s event, meeting or reunion. They have a shock-absorbing walking/running track, two full-size gymnasiums and a 7,500 sq ft fitness facility. Youth groups of 20 or more can receive a group rate to the Aquaplex during all scheduled swim times. Your youth group can even rent the aquatic center itself. In addition to Youth sports, clinics & camps the RecPlex hosts USSSA Youth baseball tournament, USSSA youth softball tournaments, AAU Boys regional basketball, AAU Girls National Championship and USSSA state tournament and USSSA world series just to name a few. In fact last year the RecPlex had 9,625 participants in tournaments with a total attendance of 103,656.

Branson is the fastest-growing live student performance destination in the country because student groups can perform onstage at many of the 50 theatres and attend customized educational workshops led by entertainment industry professionals. These education trips include backstage tours, sound and lighting points, and a myriad of other academic disciplines that help teachers meet their state accreditation standards and make for unique Branson youth activities.

For older youth looking for outdoor adrenaline, Branson Zip line and Canopy Tours will open this spring eight miles north of Branson with a 2.5 mile guided tour combining hiking and zipping. Scheduled to open Memorial weekend is Vigilante Zip Rider from the top of the 230-foot Inspiration Tower at Shepherd of the Hills Historic Homestead in celebration of their 50th anniversary.

One of my favorite educational trips in Branson Missouri is a tour of College of the Ozarks where 1,500 students work, rather than pay for a quality education. The 1000 acre campus overlooks Lake Taneycomo and some points of interest include, Williams Chapel, Ralph Foster Museum, Jones Dairy, Edwards Mill and the new Keeter Center. The Keeter Center has conference rooms, auditorium, gift shop, bakery, accommodations and dining hall all operated by the students. Many prominent individuals, such as Lady Margaret Thatcher, Secretary of State Colin Powell, Senator Bob Dole, Senator Elizabeth Dole, General Norman Schwarzkopf, President Gerald Ford and numerous others have spoken at College of the Ozarks.

Branson has some of the best golf in the Midwest. Thousand Hills Golf Resort, Branson Creek, Ledge stone, Payne Stewart, Murder Rock, Holliday Hills, Pointe Royal & Murder Rock golf courses are offering youth 15 years and younger free golf during the month of April. In this family friendly town it’s not uncommon to see the whole family on the golf course.

For Branson youth activitites appropriate for all ages, you might want to check out some of the area attractions. Favorite youth attractions include the Titanic Museum, Silver Dollar City theme park, Ride the Ducks, The Tracks Family Fun Park, White Water Beach & Rapids, Butterfly Palace Marvel Cave, Hollywood Wax Museum and many more to numerous to mention. The Branson Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB is a great resource and will have a full listing of attractions, theatres, museums shopping and all the awesome things Branson has to offer youth groups.
