Festival of Lights in Branson--During the Christmas season, there are many beautiful lights all around town. The Branson Area Festival of Lights begins November 1 and ends December 31st, 2007. There are many light displays all over town that you can drive through, or, if you don't want to drive, hop on a Trolley or Ride the Ducks and let them take you to the light displays all over Ozark Mountain Country.
The Trail of Lights at Shepherd of the Hills--The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead is lit up with a beautiful display of lights and dioramas. Drive through in the comfort of your car then enjoy hot chocolate in the gift shop and a ride to the top of Inspiration Tower for a gorgeous view of the Branson night lights. Silver Dollar City's Old Time Christmas--Old Time Christmas begins November 3rd at Silver Dollar City and runs through December 30th, 2007. Here you can see the miles of lights and the beautiful 5 story Christmas tree which will delight people of all ages. There are also many shows like The Christmas Carol which will get your holiday off to a great start. Sit back with a cup of Hot Chocolate or Wassail and travel back in time to celebrate the holidays.
The 59th Annual Adoration Parade and Lighting Ceremony will be held December 2, 2007. This annual event is a favorite among all local residents as a beginning to the Christmas holiday. For more information about the parade and lighting contact the Branson Chamber of Commerce.
Branson's Santa's Workshop is December 8 - 9, 2007. Go to historic downtown Branson for a time of decorating the "Giving Trees" to collect gifts for the Boys and Girls Club and residents of local nursing homes. Children are welcome to come and visit Santa, decorate a cookie and make an ornament to take home.
Branson Shows and Theaters--With all the holiday festivities around town, don't forget the hundreds of live shows and theaters in Branson.
