Make Branson Your New Spelunking Site

Spelunking is one of the most exciting things to do this March. You probably have read about the famous spelunking sites in America, but why not try the Midwest and have a blast exploring the caves in the area. Caves are a pretty thrilling thought for most people. Donning rubber boots and head lamps, and exploring a cavern with bats, stalactites, and stalagmites – just the thought of it will make you want to get up and start your own cave adventures!

Branson Missouri is home to many caves for your spelunking adventure. Spelunking in Branson may not be the first thought that comes to the minds of many, but it has been a famous activity in the area already. The caves in Branson are much more exciting than anyone has ever thought of.

The Marvel Cave is one of the oldest Branson caves. The cave is owned and maintained by the Hershend family and it can be found in the entrance of Silver Dollar City, Branson’s world-famous theme park. If you go to Silver Dollar City, your admission already includes a sixty minute cave tour of the Marvel Cave so you can see a piece of Branson’s history. It is also here where youkan find the largest cave entrance room in America – Marvel Cave’s Cathedral Room. The tour around Marvel Cave lets you ride a cable train from and back to the theme park.

Another famous cave is the Talking Rocks Cavern. This is actually a cave system in Branson, also owned by the Herschend family. You can avail of guided cave tours where you can go as deep as the cavern floor to see awesome formations like the curtain and bacon formations. Along with your Talking Rocks Cavern tour, you will also be treated to a light and sound show. You can also take home with you a little memorabilia from the cave by buying something from the gift shop.

Spelunking in Branson is even made better by the Fantastic Caverns. The Fantastic Caverns is famous for being the only ride through cave in America. This cave was discovered back in the 1800s by a farmer’s dog, who crawled through the cave’s entrance. It was five years later when twelve women responded to the call of exploring the cave for the first time. When you go to this cave, you can see the names of the twelve brave women carved in the cave walls. Jeep drawn tram tours are available for touring the cavern to preserve the ecosystem within the cave.

These are just some of the caves that you might want to visit in Missouri. For your stay in Branson, choose Thousand Hills Golf Resort to be your home away from home. Dare to Try the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider

Are you the type who wants a thrilling and adrenaline-inducing adventure? Then visit Branson Missouri’s Shepherd of the Hills for the fastest and most exciting ride of your life. Branson is known to many to be the live music show capital of the world, but guests in Branson can see that there are so much more attractions than the live music shows alone.

For those seeking an extreme adrenaline rush, visit Shepherd of the Hills for an exciting attraction – the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider. Shepherd of the Hills is known for its Inspiration Tower and the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider. This attraction features a two hundred foot drop and lets you experience that amazing feeling of flying. Let us back track to history to know why this ride was named as such. The place where the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead stands was once a place where the vigilantes known as the Baldknobbers passed through. These vigilantes meant to protect the town from the lawlessness of the Ozarks at that time, but the Baldknobbers turned to doing bank robberies, murder, and other crimes. The Baldknobbers indeed formed a crucial part in the history of Shepherd of the Hills and of the Ozarks, too. That is why this ride was named as the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider to remember a part of the Ozark history.

The Vigilante Extreme ZipRider was opened in 2010 and has been fascinating the tourists of Branson since then. This ride launches you from the top of the Inspiration Tower, which is one of the tallest landmarks in Branson Missouri. In fact, the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider has the highest launch station in all of the zipriders in the world. One of the features of this zipride is the four ziplines that are launching from the same station. Ride along with your friends and family to make this an adventure to remember. The Vigilante ZipRider does not require an orientation course, unlike other ziplines. You are simply strapped into a harness by an expert attendant, the launch pad gates are opened, and the next thing you know is that you are already flying at speeds reaching fifty miles per hour! The ZipRider also uses a patented ZipRider trolley to make sure the riders are safe before, during, and after their ride. You would want to try this ride again and again, and that is the best thing with the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider. You also get to have discounts for re-rides! This ride is open all year round, but it also takes into account the weather conditions to make sure that no one will be harmed while having fun.

Visit the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider anytime of the year. And don’t forget the lodging place that is perfect for your visit anytime of the year, too – Thousand Hills Hotel and Golf Resort. For more inquiries and reservations in Thousand Hills, call 1-877-262-0430.
