Just Desserts – Branson Restaurants For Your Sweet Tooth

sugar-leaf-treatsBranson has so much to offer anyone who wants to visit. From shops to restaurants to theme parks, there’s a little something for everyone. For people like me who enjoy ice cream, cake, and just about anything dessert-like or sweet, check out these fabulous eateries that also have some of the best sweet treats around.

Andy’s Frozen Custard

There are quite a few Andy’s locations in Missouri, Arkansas, and Illinois, but that doesn’t mean that the frozen custard here isn’t some of the most delicious you’ll ever taste. With hundreds of custard and topping combinations, you can create a one-of-a-kind sweet treat that is destined to be a favorite. The custard is made fresh every hour, and certain treats are seasonal. For the early summer season, Blackberry Concretes and Strawberry Shortcake Sundaes are selling fast. If you’re in Branson, stop by Andy’s Frozen Custard and get one before they’re gone.

Dino’s 24Karrot Cake Café

This quaint café is nestled among the shops and dining at Branson Landing. Branson’s renowned piano showman Dino created the carrot cake recipe, and decided to market the product to the public in 2007. The 24Karrot Cake Café was born, and now ships cakes and pastries to 48 states. Pauletta and Denzel Washington and Mike Huckabee are two famous names that have ordered and enjoyed Dino’s carrot cake. Stop by if you’re at the Landing and enjoy a cup of Dino’s signature coffee and a slice of cake, because you CAN have your cake and eat it too. If you would like to order one of Dino’s 24Karrot Cakes, visit www.24karrot.com.

Sugar Leaf Bakery Café

For starters, Sugar Leaf is not to be enjoyed just for desserts. Owners Todd and Lori Jansen have created a menu filled with delicious garden salads, savory Panini sandwiches, and comforting soups that will have your mouth watering. But don’t eat lunch without trying dessert. Sugar Leaf serves up cookies like the Campfire Cookie, which combines the flavors of a s’more – graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow – with the convenience of a cookie. Sugar Leaf also prides themselves on their custom orders of cookies and beautiful cakes. Weddings and special events are no match for the Sugar Leaf team. They work personally with all of their clients to make sure that their cake or treat is perfect. To order a specialty cake or view the menu, visit www.sugarleaftreats.com or call 417-336-6618.

Nettie Marie’s Homemade Ice Cream at The Keeter Center’s College Creamery

New to the Keeter Center’s lineup of delicious items is the College Creamery. Here, you can sample any of the flavors you’re interested in, and then take a cup or homemade waffle cone of your favorite with you. Some of these flavors include Black Cow, a delectable mixture of root beer sorbet and vanilla ice cream; Blueberry Basil Sorbet, and all-time favorites like strawberry and chocolate. Additionally, the creamery is staffed by College of the Ozarks students, who work during the summer to pay for the next year’s room and board, and also work during the semester so they can graduate from college debt free. Stop by today and try out some of Nettie Marie’s Homemade Ice Cream.

Some restaurants stand out for their quality of service. Others stand out for the quality of their food. All of these cafés and eateries are known for their desserts. Leave some room in your vacation to stop by one of these locations for a fabulously sweet treat.
