The most popular and most visited is Table Rock Lake with its opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, and other water sports. Part of Table Rock Lake’s opportunities for fun includes Moonshine Beach.

Moonshine Beach is a recreational area maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Many people don’t expect to find a sandy beach among the Ozark Mountains, but Moonshine Beach is just that. Moonshine is the largest sand beach in southwest Missouri and is near the luxury resort Chateau on the Lake. It lies in a cove like area on Table Rock Lake and adds to the numerous activities available on Table Rock Lake. Moonshine Beach features picnic tables, food vendors, a boat launch ramp, showers, flush toilets, a large pavilion, and a kids playground. The beach is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and requires a payment of $5.00 per carload daily usage fee. The pavilion is available for rental.

Moonshine Beach is also minutes away from Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery , as well as the newly opened Dewey Short Visitors Center. The famed Highway 76 is also only minutes away from the beach.

Some people visiting the Table Rock Lake area are looking for thrills, and there are multiple marinas where you can find them. If you’re staying in Branson, What’s Up Dock, Port of Kimberling Marina, and Baxter’s Boat Dock are within an hour’s drive. Water skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing are just some of the options that are available to vacationers enjoying Table Rock Lake’s pristine waters.
