Dixie Stampede is filled with competition between the North and South, like the competition between the two during the Civil War. The show uses many different mediums to create a memorable experience. The show features live animals, dramatic lights, sounds, and even pyrotechnics. Talented horsemen and women perform stunts on horseback. All of this is coupled with special effects and musical productions to create a one-of-a-kind experience.

This entire experience is included with your ticket, but that’s not all you get at Dixie Stampede. The show also features a four course feast that includes a whole rotisserie chicken, barbecued pork loin, vegetable soup, corn on the cob, a herb basted potato, a homemade biscuit and a decadent dessert. Vegetarian meals are also available, and include garden vegetable salad, vegetable soup, corn on the cob, a herb basted potato, a homemade biscuit, and dessert.

Each Dixie Stampede ticket includes not only general admission and a four course feast, but access to the Carriage Room pre-show. You get the opportunity to walk through the open air stables to see the magnificence of the Quarter Horse, Palomino, Paint, and Appaloosa breeds. The charming Belles of Dixie Stampede will lead you into the 2-level Carriage Room where Mountain Rukus will entertain you before the show begins with comedy and tons of family fun. Popcorn, peanuts, and Pepsi® products are all available in the Carriage Room during the pre-show, along with non-alcoholic fruit drinks in Dixie Stampede’s Souvenir Boot Mugs.

The fun at Dixie Stampede has already begun. The show season for Dixie Stampede begins in February and runs until December. Dixie Stampede offers a “Dixie Family Christmas” during the holiday season. This show features the same live animals and horsemen and women, plus twinkling lights, old-fashioned holiday costumes, and holiday music, transforming the arena into a fantasy holiday land. If that wasn’t enough, Dixie Stampede’s Christmas extravaganza also features a live nativity in which the Three Kings ride into Bethlehem on the backs of camels.
