Bob Newhart To Perform in Branson Theater

bob-newhart-bransonMany Branson locals and our guests were looking forward to seeing Tim Conway in Branson this fall. Unfortunately, due to family health issues, he’s had to cancel many of his fall tour dates including the stretch in the Branson theater in October and November. All is not lost, however, because another legendary funny man has stepped up and promises to put on an unforgettable show–Bob Newhart!

The Mansion Theater worked hard to line up Bob Newhart and it makes a lot of sense. Mr. Newhart has long been a stand up comedian and entertainer, but he is probably best known for his TV work. Two of his most famous series have won numerous awards–in the 1970’s he starred in “The Bob Newhart Show” as psychiatrist Dr. Bob Hartley, and the as the legendary New England innkeeper Dick Louden in the 1980’s hit, “Newhart”. In addition to TV work he’s also well known for several film roles including Papa Elf, where he played the adopted north pole father of Will Ferrell in “Elf”. He also voiced lead character Bernard in the Disney films “The Rescuers” and “The Rescuers Down Under”.

This will be Bob Newhart’s first visit to a Branson Theater, but like many other legendary performers before him we hope it won’t be his last! Come out this fall and welcome Bob Newhart to Branson and enjoy a family friendly and entertaining show from a comic legend. For ticket information, contact The Mansion Theater. If you need a place to stay, as always be sure & check out the condos or cabins at Thousand Hills!
