Attractions on the Strip

If you have spent some time in Branson, chances are you have heard locals and regular talk about The Strip.  The Strip is the nickname for Highway 76, the road that leads right through the heart of Branson.  It’s known for it’s sometimes precarious curves and heavy summer traffic, but also for some pretty great restaurants, theaters and museums.  What’s waiting for YOU on the Branson Strip?  Read on to find out!

Titanic Museum: The Titanic in Branson is hard to miss  – it is literally a massive ship parked on the edge of the road.  The entire museum is packed with artifacts, interactive displays, galleries that feature authentic replications, video and audio opportunities and so much more – you won’t see it all in one day, so chances are you will want to come back!  Some of the most unique and memorable galleries include: the movie gallery, devoted entirely to the 1997 movie, the ‘deck’ exhibit that was created to look like the outdoor deck of the Titanic against a star studded backdrop, complete with frigid temperatures, the Grand Staircase, which is an exact replica of the sweeping grand staircase that was aboard the ship, and the interactive gallery, where visitors can experience the different degrees of tilt on the deck as the ship sank, stick their hand in a bowl of water that was the exact temperature of the ocean that night, and sit in a lifeboat.

Presley’s Country Jubilee: For a fun Branson Strip attraction that the whole family will love, make plans to stop in at the Presley’s Country Jubilee!  The Presley’s built the first live entertainment theater in Branson back in 1967, and they’ve been a hit ever since.  The Presley family will wow you with their talent;  this original Branson show is a cumulative effect of bluegrass, country and gospel music, coupled with dancing and instrumental talent, charming costumes and hilarious comedy, all provided by Branson’s favorite family!

Auto and Farm Museum:  For one of the coolest museum around, visit the Branson Auto and Farm Museum on Highway 76!  Not only will you see some awesome classic cars, but some unique antique farm machinery too.  This newest of the museums in Branson features classic convertibles, Corvettes, Bel Airs, Chevelles, and more – plus a tractor or two!  Folks of all ages will love this museum full on the Branson Strip.

Hollywood Wax Museum: Branson’s Hollywood Wax Museum located on the Branson Strip, is a difficult attraction to miss, what with a replica similar to Mount Rushmore but with Hollywood stars instead of presidents located right next to the building.  You might also spot King Kong dangling from the top of a skyscraper above the museum!  The wax museum is one of the only museums in the Midwest devoted entirely to celebrity figures, and it is without question one of the most popular attractions in Branson.  Museumgoers can step into the spotlight, so to speak, and take photos of themselves with celebs such as Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Willie Nelson, Michael Jackson, and so many more – you’re sure to find your favorite famous figure here!

This is just a small sampling of the wonderful attractions you can find along the Branson Strip.  Don’t miss a chance to get out and explore Branson’s most well traveled highway for yourself.
