The Three Best Branson Museums
Branson boasts of a number of great museums that are sure to please every visiting tourist. Branson museums immortalize a range of icons – from Hollywood superstars to war weapons that helped shaped history. For your trip to Branson, Missouri, do not forget to pay a visit to these museums which you will surely enjoy.
One of the museums that Branson is proud of is the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum. It isn’t a wonder why this museum intrigues and excites tourists. It does not have the usual façade of museums that you usually see. This out-of-the-ordinary building is intentionally made to look wrecked to reflect the peculiar earthquake that happened in Missouri in 1812. The earthquake, which registered more than 8.0 magnitude in the Richter scale, caused the Mississippi River to run backwards. With this museum’s strange façade, there is no doubt that this is the most photographed building in Branson and all over the world. Just as the name of the museum implies, over 400 exhibits housed in creative galleries are sure to leave you in awe and disbelief. Ripley’s museum showcases bizarre exhibits like two-headed cows and a vampire hunter’s kit are sure to tickle your imagination. Fact or fiction? You decide.
The Titanic museum is also one of Branson’s best. Everyone knows Titanic to be the unsinkable ship that sank. Experience a blast from the past by boarding the Titanic before it set off on its maiden voyage 100 years ago. Walk the hallways that Jack and Rose once stepped on. Touch a real iceberg. And do not miss the best part where you can hear stories from actual survivors of the Titanic. The 90-minute guided tour is surely worth your visit as you experience history firsthand.
Can’t get your pictures taken with the ever busy Hollywood A-Listers? Now, you can. Come down to one of Branson’s best museums – the Hollywood Wax Museum. One must-bring item to your visit to this museum is your camera. Get ready to catch Hollywood legends in action and have a souvenir photo taken. Meet Johnny Depp, Elvis Presley, Will Smith, and many more. Even King Kong and Frankenstein are there to add an epic touch to your museum visit. The Hollywood Wax Museum is open to the public until midnight, 365 days a year. So take a chance and reach for the stars. Who knows, you might just be one of them.
