With over 100 different shows in Branson, making a decision as to what shows to see may be a little difficult. But a sure way to get a good laugh and some extremely enjoyable entertainment is to checkout some of Branson’s famous country music shows. Branson did not get its title of live music show capital of the world for nothing, and you and the family will definitely be missing out on a great Branson tradition if you don’t take in at least one of these country music celebrations.
Baldknobber’s Jamboree Show
How could a tour through Branson’s top country shows begin without a stop at Baldknobber’s Jamboree Show? The Baldknobber’s website boasts that “the Baldknobber’s Jamboree Show is brand new every year, always featuring a variety of soul-stirring gospel, country favorites, and sidesplitting comedy.” When the Baldknobber’s famous big red curtain pulls back to reveal any of the original skits and number performed by 2nd and 3rd generation Baldknobbers. The Baldknobber family performs a number of instruments including: fiddle, mandolin, guitar, drums, steel guitar, dobro, piano, banjo, and bass. Of course, besides instruments, the Baldknobber’s utilize their amazing vocals and hilarious comedy to give you a night of entertainment you won’t forget.
Presley’s Country Jubilee
While the Baldknobber’s claim to be Branson’s first show, the Presley family claims to be Branson’s first family of entertainment. “The Presleys’ blend of country, gospel, bluegrass, and hilarious comedy has become a family tradition,” the Presleys’ website claims. Also accompanying Cooper is his 9-year-old son Colt Cooper and Ezrah Cheek, “Oklahoma’s little sweetheart.”
