The Top 3 Non-Country Branson Shows
Visitors to Branson may know the city as the “Country Music Capital”, but what some may not know is that there are a number of shows that aren’t country music related – not even close. Some Branson shows are exactly the opposite. From dance to magic, Branson has something to offer everyone in your family. Travelers on tripadvisor.com have spoken out about their favorite shows. Here’s a run-down of three of the best non-country Branson shows.
2. The Brady Lunch Show at the Yakov Smirnoff Theater is performed by Barry Williams, who became widely known as Greg Brady from the popular television series “The Brady Bunch.” He expanded his career to include musical comedy after the days of the Brady Bunch, and performed in a number of musical theater productions, as well as in Las Vegas and on multiple cruise lines. He has recorded 5 albums and today Williams brings his musical theater and comedy talents to the Brady Lunch. Guests enjoy a meal while being entertained by Williams and a live five piece band. Adult tickets for this show are $34.95 (ages 12 and up), child tickets are $14.50 (ages 4 to 11), and toddlers (ages 3 and under) are free. Toddler tickets DO NOT include a meal. Group rates are available; call 1-866-EAT-FREE for rates.
3. Audiences of all ages will enjoy the Hamner Barber Variety Show. This incredible variety show features magic and illusions by Dave and Denise Hamner, vocal comedy by ventriloquist Jim Barber, along with song, and dance performed by a talented troupe of dancers. The Hamners have headlined shows in Las Vegas and Hollywood’s “Magic Castle”. They have won many awards including the “Magical Masters Award” and the “Bronze Lion Head Award”, which was awarded them by renowned magicians Siegfried and Roy. Jim Barber has been performing in Branson since 1994 and has been named Comedy Entertainer of the Year by the National Association for Campus Activities. There are also other shows that grace the stage at the Hamner Barber Theater, including Tom Mullica’s tribute to Red Skelton, as well as the gospel singing Fair Family. The Hamner Barber Variety Show runs from March to December. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 1-888-335-2080.
