Branson Titanic Hosts National Ice Carving Championships
February 3-5th will be a cool time to visit Branson, literally! That weekend the best ice carvers and sculptors will be gathered in Branson, Missouri to compete for $25,000 in prizes and the title of NICA National Champion.
The NICA is the National Ice Carving Association, which sponsors this tournament every year. The festivities will take place in the parking lot of the Titanic Museum Attraction, and spectator admission is free. So bring the whole family out to see the best ice sculptors in the world compete.
There are two levels of competition, Professional and Master. Each level consists of two competitions, and the carver with the highest overall score wins the prizes. In addition, there will be a competition for speed - where the contestants are given one block of ice & 15 minutes to make the most of it. So be sure and miss that if you want to see some high speed art created right in front of your eyes!
