From Branson Lodging to Fall Colors - The Best Scenic Routes
With the summer months over, the traffic is much lighter and the roads are perfect for a leisurely drive. In fact, the Missouri Department of Conservation includes highways 76, 86 and 65 in their Fall Colors Brochure which has a map with routes to take for a view. Highway 76 will take you through the heart of Branson where the fall color will be scattered along town with trees here and there. It will also take you out of town towards Silver Dollar City where there will be plenty of vibrant trees lining the highway. If you take Highway 86, which is just south of Branson, you are sure to find lots of winding curves and beautiful scenery, including Table Rock Lake when you cross over it. If you are looking for a more fast paced trip, but still want to observe the color and Ozark Hills, Highway 65 will let you do that. It is also the main highway that almost all traveleres take to get in & out of Branson, so it will be hard to miss the fall color here. However you do it, be sure to take some time to wind in around the hills of the Branson area and witness the breathtaking lakes, bluffs and colorful trees. The Branson Missouri Blog
