You won’t want to spend your summer anywhere else! So get ready to put on your best outdoorsman (or woman!) face and have a great adventure in the Branson outdoors.

The Lakes

It is no secret that Branson is famous for the lakes in and around the area. So why not spend some of your outdoor summer on the water? Table Rock Lake is perfect for boating, and the Table Rock Lake Marina has WaveRunners and other fun floating devices available for you to rent! This particular lake is also great for swimming in the summertime – so pack a beach towel, some sunscreen and a picnic and get ready cool off from the humid, Ozarks summer heat! Table Rock State Park has some great stops to jump in to the water, and also features a boat launch, BBQ grills, picnic tables and restrooms. Farther down the road and across the Dam, Moonshine Beach is one of the most popular places to swim on Table Rock – and it’s one of the only places in Branson that you will find real sand! If you prefer to stay out of the water while still enjoying the Branson outdoors, grab your tackle box and head to Lake Taneycomo for the finest trout fishing in the area.

The Forests

If you are in or around the Branson area, chances are that you’ve noticed an abundance of trees! Put on your hiking boots and get ready to head into the woods. Table Rock Lake State Park features a lovely lakeside trail that winds through the timber. The Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery also features a few wonderful hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty – but all three feature plenty of the beautiful flora and fauna of the Ozarks! And if you want a truly great wilderness experience, head up the highway a short ways to Busiek State Park – it’s acres and acres of some of the best and most rugged natural landscapes that the Branson outdoors has to offer!

The Other Outdoors

In Branson, you don’t necessarily have to be rugged and adventurous to enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of other activities around town to get you into the fresh air and sunshine! Like walking the Branson Landing, for example – you’ll catch cool breezes coming off of the lake and get some exercise too! Silver Dollar City and White Water are some fun outdoor theme parks for you to enjoy. And you and your family can spend hours wandering the outdoor Promised Land Zoo in Branson too!

With so many awesome Branson outdoors summer activities, you won’t want to waste any time inside. So get out there!
