The New Shanghai Theatre

The Branson and surrounding Tri-Lakes area has a little bit of everything to offer local folks and travelers from afar. The Acrobats of China show is performed in the New Shanghai Theatre located on Missouri Highway 165. This intense show features more than forty of the Orient’s most talented acrobats – all ready to perform daring feats of agility and strength for your enjoyment and awe! The show just recently added the new Shanghai Circus to an already amazing lineup. New performers are added to the Acrobats of China troupe each year, making it an elite group of outstanding athletes.

Get ready to see stunning and award winning acts like Butterfly Lovers, Spinning Girls, Human Strength and Beauty, Diablo, Magic Clock, Jar Jugglers, Plates Spinning and more. You will also see lions, Chinese Paper Dragons, tumbling and bending acrobats, and jugglers to amuse an astound folks of all ages who come to see the show!

This past year, for the first time ever, the Acrobats of China hosted the first annual Shanghai Cultural Festival. This festival brought famous Chinese performers from opera groups, orchestras, and other members of the arts to Branson. The first festival was a huge success, and the second festival is planned for June of 2014. Another community building event by the Acrobats of China will also be hosted in June 2014 – the Annual Reunion for Families with Adopted Chinese Children. The reunion will be held in conjunction with the festival to celebrate the Chinese culture and heritage around the world.

To book tickets to see the Acrobats of China show, you can purchase admission by phone and make reservations via the Thousand Hills Concierge– this is strongly recommended in order to get good seating! Tickets can also be bought online at the Acrobats of China online box office on their website. Or, if you prefer, you can purchase the tickets in person at the New Shanghai Theatre box office. Groups are welcome and educational programs, meeting space, and performance opportunities are also available for guests.
